Coaching at Nunnery Wood Colts

Recently ‘Nutz 4 Soccer’ has taken over the coaching side of Nunnery Wood Colts Development Club. Nutz 4 Soccer is a fantastic new coaching company run by Ex Professional Footballer Ray Woods. Ray was a member of John King’s legendary Caernarfon Town side who reached the third round of the FA Cup in 1986-87. He went on to play for Wigan Athletic and Coventry in the top tier of English football. Ray is now a UEFA "A" experienced coach, developing stars such as Sam Wedgbury (Sheffield Utd) and Shabir Khan (Pakistan International).
‘The Coaching’
Darren Mace and Mark Wilcox run Woody’s, while Nutz 4 Soccer takes care of the coaching. All the coaches are FA qualified, have undertaken emergency first aid and child protection training and have been CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked. Nutz for Soccer employ highly experienced, UEFA qualified coaches in order to deliver both enjoyable and educational sessions. All Nutz4Soccer Coaches are highly dedicated to the development of youth football in the UK. Collectively; we aim to help produce more home grown players for the future of the sport. Ensuring players have a respect for the game, its officials and opposing players giving them the ultimate education along with a good fun environment at all times.
The FA call this a Development Centre, we call it ‘Woody’s’.
‘The Sessions’
We run coaching sessions at our Battenhall Road ground (see Home Venue page for directions) every Saturday afternoon during the regular football season.
Sessions run between 1pm – 2:15pm every week. All abilities are catered for, with Nunnery Wood Colts looking to get the children into teams from the age of 6 right the way up to 14 years old.
Nutz4Soccer have specifically designed programs to meet the needs of each child in order to develop them both physically and psychologically whilst also putting the emphasis on having fun.
We will look to enhance the child’s understanding and appreciation of core values such as respect, sportsmanship and honesty to develop the individual as a whole whilst our professional coaching allied to constant verbal and written feedback will help in developing budding footballer stars of the future.
There really is something for everyone, in a safe and friendly environment, if you are Nutz4Soccer then pop down with a drink and some shin pads.
‘The Price’
Nutz for Soccer only charge £3 per session per child. There is no need to pre pay, this amount can be paid on arrival.
