CHILD PROTECTION
Safeguarding Children
Nunnery Wood Colts Football Club is committed to compliance with the FA Safeguarding Children Best Practise Guidelines.
If you wish to discuss any aspects of the club's Child Protection Policy please contact the club's Child Welfare Officer, Darren Mace, whose contact details can be found on the Club Contacts pages.
Photography and Video
If any parent wishes to take photographs of their child playing football you must get consent from all parents of both teams.
Videos of youth matches are not allowed by the Football Association.
If in doubt please speak to the team managers.
Soccer Parent
Soccer Parent is designed with coaches and parents in mind to provide guidance on specific areas that focus on the key issues involved when a child joins a football team.
As well as being designed to be informative, fun and engaging, one of the key aspects of the course is that coaches are given advice to assist in gaining positive contributions from parents as well as understanding issues on specific areas such as child welfare and attitudes.
Soccer Parent is a completely free online course that is available to anybody that registers with FA Learning - The FA’s Educational Provider. Everyone that completes the course and achieves the pass mark can immediately print off an accredited certificate directly from the website.
FA Respect Campaign
7,000 referees drop out of the game each season due to the abuse and intimidation they receive
One third of all grassroots matches are played without a qualified referee
Lose Respect, Lose the Game
